to recycle their used items rather than take out a loan against them.

In most cases, when an item is sold rather than used as collateral, the
seller of that item will generally receive more money than a borrower,
making a loan and using the same item, would receive, ... but the seller
would not have the option of getting the item back.

When personal property is purchased, the pawnbroker gains title to the sold property
and can dispose of them as appropriate. These items can be sold, melted, scrapped
for parts, or junked and thrown away. Most items are sellable after some
minor refurbishing or cleaning.

Since our strength is our jewelry department, we clean and recondition all the jewelry
that is forfeited and resell it to the public at substantial savings over retail store prices!
